Did you ever need a centerpiece with a light bulb for a head? This client came to us with his idea sketched out. We then scanned his drawing into our computer system to build a series of shapes. We used it to cut and layer it into a form that provided the shapes for plastic forming.

Our client was inspired by the Globe Theatre of London and wanted a similar theatre built on his property. We researched, designed and built this two story Curtain Theatre modeled after the Shakespearean theatre.
It has a separate stage and audience seating area. The image on the left shows an elevation view from the inside stage area looking towards the seating. The center image is from the ground level, in front of the stage, looking up into the “heavens”. The image on the right shows the exterior of the seating galleries.
Through the gallery openings, you can just see the roof that covers the stage. It can seat approximately 250 people. Several theatre groups in Austin have made good use of this theatre. The stage has a trap door for special effects and the “heavens” has a door for dramatic entrances and exits.
Our client needed a float for the New Orleans Krewe of Tucks Parade. They contacted Custom Creation to design, fabricate and deliver the float to New Orleans. We found a trailer to use as the base of the float and shaped it using wooden planks. We fabricated the float with the usual riggings found on a ship as well as added an outhouse for convenience sake.
Through the years; canons, figureheads, a smoke system, and sound effects were added to their Mardi Gras Parade Float. The air powered bead canons were very popular, but the police took them away for safety reasons. One of the biggest challenges we had was where to put all the beads.

An international computer company needed a demonstration area for some of its new application ideas. In this case, they wanted a driveway setting with a car, garage, fence, and even a telephone pole. They already had the car model but wanted to place it in a typical driveway setting. So we built the house and fence and installed the elements within their normal office space.
We took an actual delivery van and cut it length-wise to make it fit into the small area. As a final touch a flat screen monitor was installed in the back of the van with the back doors wide open for presentation purposes. Custom Creation is our specialty. A local production company needed a few seconds of video showing the inside of the International Space Station (ISS). Unable to send their entire crew into space, they needed Custom Creation to create a space depicting the Space Station for them.
We researched the different modules and put together a corridor with a couple of walls, set dressing, cables and switches, as well as labels and hardware that might be seen within the ISS. Do you need a creative space or environment? Our specialty is finding the perfect solution to fit your needs!
A local television studio needed new signage with custom painting. We fitted the new signs into the existing areas and matched the existing finishes. We completed the installation before their normal broadcasting schedule.

Here are images from a video production studio we fabricated and installed. In a small area our client needed three different set types. The image on the left is a software demonstration workstation, in the center a casual interview area, and on the right side is an anchor or presentation desk.
The different parts of the set had to be easily movable and modular for the different lighting or camera setups. The fit and finish of the various pieces had to have a fluidity to them and not look like a hodgepodge of different items.

This client needed a kiosk to encase a monitor, computer, keyboard and printer. As people used the kiosk they could print seafood recipes to take away with them. The back of the kiosk faced the aisle. To attract attention, an eye-catching print was wrapped around the case. Our client provided the electronics and we designed the kiosk around them. Ventilation and a locking door completed the project.
